GED RLA
GED RLA คือ ข้อสอบ GED รายวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ ซึ่ง RLA นั้นจะย่อมาจาก Reasoning Through Language Arts เป็นข้อสอบวัดทักษะการใช้เหตุผลทางภาษาในการสื่อสารผ่านการอ่าน (Reading) และการเขียน (Writing) ภาษาอังกฤษ กำหนดเวลาการสอบ 150 นาที มีคะแนนเต็มทั้งหมด 200 คะแนน โดยจะกำหนดเกณฑ์คะแนนขั้นต่ำอยู่ที่ 145 คะแนนขึ้นไป
โจทย์ของ GED RLA เป็นภาษาอังกฤษทั้งหมด ลักษณะข้อสอบจะมีทั้งหมด 4 รูปแบบ ดังนี้
1. แบบเลือกตอบ (Choice)
คำถามประเภทนี้จะเป็นคำถามที่พบบ่อยที่สุด ผู้สอบจะต้องทำการเลือกคำตอบที่ถูกต้องเพียง 1 ข้อ จากตัวเลือกทั้งหมด
2. แบบเลือกคำตอบแบบ Drop-down
ข้อสอบรูปแบบนี้จะคล้ายกับข้อสอบแบบเลือกตอบ (Choice) แต่ภายใน 1 ข้อจะมีจุดให้เลือกตอบมากกว่า 1 จุด โดยคำถามจะเป็นข้อความหรือคำศัพท์แบบ Drop-down ที่ผู้สอบจะต้องเลือกคำตอบที่ถูกต้องทั้งหมดตามจำนวนที่โจทย์ระบุ
3. แบบลากตอบ (Drag-and-drop)
โจทย์ประเภทนี้จะให้ผู้สอบทำการลากคำตอบไปวางลงในช่องคำตอบให้ถูกต้อง โดยอาจเป็นคำศัพท์, ประโยค, วลี หรือการเรียงลำดับเหตุการณ์ และมักจะมีจุดที่ต้องลากคำตอบไปวางมากกว่า 1 จุดเพื่อทำให้คำตอบสมบูรณ์
4. แบบเขียนตอบ (Extended-Response)
คำถามประเภทนี้จะมีข้อความ (Passage) รูปกราฟิกประกอบ หรือคำถามแบบผสมผสานรูปกราฟิกและข้อความกำหนดมาให้ และผู้สอบจะต้องทำการเขียน Essay เพื่อตอบคำถามตามที่ระบุเอาไว้
